House of the Dragon Prequel for 'Game of Thrones' Coming to HBO Max

House of the Dragon, a prequel to the hit HBO series 'Game of Thrones,' is set 200 years before the events of the original show.

The series tells the story of the Targaryen civil war, known as the "Dance of the Dragons."

The cast of House of the Dragon includes Matt Smith as Prince Daemon Targaryen, Fabien Frankel as Ser Criston Cole, Rhys Ifans as Ser Otto Hightower, Steve Toussaint as Lord Corlys Velaryon, Milly Alcock as young Princess Rhaenyra Targaryen, and Emily Carey as young Queen Alicent Hightower.

The series is set to premiere on HBO Max in 2022.
